An Eastern Gray Treefrog froglet emerges, with some tadpole tail left, from a small pond on a deck near Mount Jackson, Virginia.

One of my favorite ways to learn about the natural world is through nature photography. In examining and cataloging photos I've taken in the field, I often find some detail in the subject or its proximity to another species, and get a whole new perspective on it and its place in an ecosystem.
